Beggar Style

"Homeless Chinese Man Dubbed 'Brother Sharp' Hailed As Fashion Icon".This is actually an old news few months ago, but I think it is very interesting since lots of big designers were get inspired from "The beggar style" such as Yohji and Rei. The layering, torn edges, grungy, asymmetrical silhouette of "TH beggar style" were manipulated and turned into something amazing on the runway.

I just keep looking at different fashion illustrator's work so I could learn from their style, but I still like David Downton the most.

Using of clear PVC in my collection

I was trying to play with PVC on the body. Here's some pictures of the very initial ideas that i did few weeks ago. Actually its quite hard to drape, so i decided to work on flat pattern first then work on the body again.

Jan-Jan Van Essche

Jan-Jan Van Essche, he is the winner of Dries Van Noten and FFI Prizes who was graduated from Antwerp Fashion Academy. Now, he has his 1st men's collection 'Yukkuri" at Atelier Solarshop. The collection was inspired by a Japanese word that means 'slow or 'take it easy'. Cool!
