Nudity influences fashion?

98 Hussein Chalayan collection

Indeed, more flesh is being seen in contemporary fashion but the reason behind it is worth to examine. is it because people start to question about modesty? or people start to appreciate the natural attractiveness from nakedness body? Hussein Chalayan collection in 1998 is a typical example that shows the influence of nudity on fashion in contemporary, the collection shocked the whole fashion industry. He was experimenting and playing with different degrees of nakedness with her models veiled their face but gradually denuding from below. Maybe, maybe there is a possibility in the future that human return to the origin, fully naked. If that really happen, fashion industry must have a big revolution.

thank you very much.

so FUN! Mercibeaucoup is one of my favorite and this is her AW2010 Collection.

According to her official website, her brand concept:

Purely, happily, beautifully, mercibeaucoup, neat and proper, but with some fun.

Do have something to say, but never with airs put on.

In the name, we show our dedication, never to forget, but everyday cherish, and the precious feeling of appreciation and thank.

All the pieces in there are so pure, colorful, quirky and fun, every collection of Mercibeaucoup is like bringing you back into the fantasy world we all had in our childhood. The most AMAZING thing is those pieces can actually mix n match into different style, quirky yet wearable.

I like his work. Takashi Murakam, a Japanese pop art master. His works question the boundaries between East and West, time, history, art and culture. The way that he combined 'high art' and 'low culture' brings him succeeded. In 2008, he was on the list of "100 Most Influential People" of Time Magazine.
